The completion and opening of the Barry Sports Centre in 2002 marked the achievement of a vital stage in the Property Master Plan for Loreto Mandeville Hall. The Centre includes an 8 lane 25 metre swimming pool and a learners’ pool, diving facilities, a sports hall, gymnastics hall that is dedicated for gymnastics apparatus use, weights room and a Physical Education classroom.

VCE Art and Studio Art, popular subjects at Loreto, have also been given state-of-the-art facilities, with new photography studios, dedicated computer resources space, as well as additional teaching and learning areas on two levels for Senior Art. A stunning and innovative mural celebrating water sports and activities has been installed in the Pool Hall to encapsulate the wonderful spirit and energy that the girls derive from this magnificent facility.
