Tucked away at the rear of 400 Albert Street, East
Melbourne, there is a stable known as the "Coach House".
It is there in the edit suite that you’ll find Chris Downey
(pictured), editor and camera operator for Albert Street
Productions working on the Final Cut Pro Edit Equipment,
made possible by a loan from CDF. There’s a sense that
great media ministry is born in this stable!
Albert Street Productions has produced over 100
documentary features for television including the award
winning, Sacred Stones, SBS-TV and The Teacher, ABCTV.
Many of Albert Street’s productions are social,
religious or spiritual documentary and have won
recognition not only in Australia but internationally. In
addition to TV documentary, Albert Street has a range of
church and commercial clients. It produces corporate
videos, event videos, instructional videos, commercials
and community service announcements. The popular
"Mass For You at Home", Ten Network and affiliates, is
produced by Albert Street on behalf of the Archdiocese of
Peter Thomas, Executive Producer, reported that
"Hazaribag Jesuits" is Albert Street’s most recent
production. Shot on location in India, it chronicles a story
of achievement of Australian and New Zealand Jesuits
who first went to India in 1951. CDF is pleased to share
preview images of "Hazaribag Jesuits" which will be
shown on ABC-TV later this year.
