Catholic Hospital and Aged Care
needs grow – CDF meets the challenge!
More Deposits are required.
Proposed development at St Frances Xavier
Cabrini Hospital, Brighton (pictured left) includes
88 in-patient beds, 8 consulting suites, 4 operating
theatres, 21-chair day oncology unit, expanded
diagnostic services and 180 basement car parks.
This project, made possible by your CDF investment,
is expected to be completed by mid year 2009.
In the financial year 2007-2008 CDF lent $83.5 million to fund projects
for St Frances Xavier Cabrini Hospital, Catholic Homes for the Elderly
and Mercy Health and Aged Care. Lending on such a scale to meet the
needs of Catholic health and aged care was unprecedented in the 52-year
history of the Fund. According to Guy Beale, CDF Business Development
Manager, demand for Catholic hospital and aged care services and
low cost finance for capital projects will continue to be strong. Catholic
families benefit from the strong commitment to human life which is at the
core of Catholic health institutions. “CDF needs more deposits in order to
meet this ongoing demand,” Mr Beale added.
That increasing numbers of Catholic health and aged care providers
are forging commercial relationships with Catholic Development Funds
across Australia is not surprising. CDF offers Catholic institutions high
quality financial products and services at competitive interest rates
and personalised customer service. At the heart of the matter both
organisations are like-minded, drawn together in a mission of Faith
and service to the Church.
